David Hiromura, 6 Dan
Hiromura Sensei, founder of Koubukan Kendo NY, established the dojo in 2023 and has been dedicated to teaching Kendo to both adults and children.

Assistant Sensei
Masumi Koyama, 5 Dan
Koyama Sensei has been practicing kendo for over 25 years. He has competed and judged in local, national, and international competitions.
He has represented SUSKIF (2011, 2014) and AEUSKF (2017) at the All United States Kendo Federation Championships.
Having learned Kendo as a child, he values creating an engaging and positive environment to promote confidence and self-discipline.
Children's Class Sensei
Eri Kosayaka, 4 Dan
Kosakaya Sensei began practicing Kendo as a child in Japan and has resumed her passion for Kendo by contributing to our dojo as well as competing in local, prefectural, and national competitions.
She has a degree in Early Childhood Education, providing her extensive experience and expertise with children.
